Augmented Learning turns 5 today. I never thought a business I tried my hand at for a few years, to escape the classroom, would take off like this. Itโs the fifth but final year of my business in this model, on to different ventures after 2023. So grateful to all my schools.

Yesterday, years 2/3 @Mount_Sinai created stop motion animations using Apple Pencils and Keynote visualising and adding audio descriptions of the symbols used during Hanukkah.

Huge shout out to โฆ@dcolvlโฉ and the team โฆ@Mount_Sinaiโฉ for this stellar, creative and ingenious idea for an alternate education week activity. Yrs 4-6 rotated through a Keynote animation, claymation & GarageBand workshop to compile into a hologram task. LOVED THIS!

Students in Year 5 at Mawarra PS participated in a film day today. We used those $15 Kmart mics rigged up as booms to capture audio, recorded on a secondary iPad, AirDropped audio video files to a central iPad composited and synced mic audio. Amazing day. The team work ๐๐๐

I see the value of Reality Composer but for most of my schools & for what I can achieve in small bursts of time, in limited engagements, @ARMakrApp reigns supreme & I love it more & more each time. I promised my Scots Steamers they could have time to experiment at end of term.

Students in the 1/2H class @ Mawarra PS created line draw animations of Van Goghโs The Starry Night in #Keynote AirDropped to a central iPad, composited & sequenced to all run together on the one Keynote. One creative way to present their 50 minutes of learning today. Love my job

Yr1/2 @CourtDenham used Clips to retell parts of their picture book The Lamington Man, responding to stimulus questions I air dropped as a Clips template. Kindy went on a single sound word hunt around their classroom adding photos & audio to a Keynote template shared to them.

Students in Yr 2 at St Maryโs Georges Hall are using #Pages to create picture book retells on the Parable of the Good Samaritan while Kindy are using @BookCreatorApp to make picture books about their study of farm animals. Fantastic day of learning.

Heartfelt congratulations to the staff and students @ Mawarra PS for their achievements in Wakakirri 2022. I created the visual effects and projections entirely on iPad using a combination of #Clips, #Keynote, #iMovie and green screen with @DoInkTweets add this to my CV skillset!

I still have FOUR requests to make my use of iPad perfect. 1. A blur tool in Mark Up to avoid covering student faces with Emojis. 2. Ability to pinch & edit green screen layers in iMovie. 3. Instruments of First Nations cultures in GarageBand 4. In App record button in Keynote.
