Great to meet ADB Vice President HK Yu in Manila. We discussed the ADB’s pledge to mobilise $30 billion by 2030 to support ASEANs advance long-term priorities and withstand external shocks.

On 26 May 2026, Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, attended and delivered remarks at the Opening of the Exhibition on the Fifth Anniversary of the ASEAN-Australia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership at the ASEAN Headquarters/ASEAN Secretariat. SG Dr. Kao welcomed the exhibition, which offers an excellent opportunity to capture the milestones, progress, and achievements of the long-standing relations between ASEAN and Australia, grown over the past five decades, and celebrate the 5th anniversary of the ASEAN-Australia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

Australia’s Strategic Partnership with BRAC saves lives, reduces poverty, develops skills and builds resilience. Excellent discussions with BRAC’s Executive Director Asif Saleh, including on ongoing support for over 1.2m Rohingyas displaced by the Myanmar conflict.
