Reece Jenkin is in the fight of his life against stage 4 pancreatic cancer, but he's not in it alone. The town of Colfax, and larger basketball community is there with him.
"That's meant the absolute world to me."

Prisoner of the moment here but that might be the greatest crowd pop I’ve ever heard. Only one that comes close that is immediately coming to memory is the Eugenio Suarez grand slam in last year’s ALCS.
CAL RALEIGH GRAND SLAM!
It’s a 6-RBI, two homer game for the #Mariners catcher in his rehab assignment with Triple-A Tacoma Rainers.
We’ll have reaction from the Big Dumper tonight on @fox13seattle
Hot take: The NBA has WAY overcorrected on how it officiates close out fouls. I don’t understand how anything Brunson did there can earnestly be called “flagrant.”
Talk about perfect timing, we’ll have the broadcast live on @SWXLocalSports as the former Zag Gabriel Hughes goes to the mound!
Join us on the broadcast, we’ll get started at 6:30pm!
There’s a laundry list of great things I can say about Bill, and everyone who has interacted with him in a personal and professional capacity will assuredly do so.
The thing that means the most to me is the fact that he always treated me like a colleague, not the opposition.
Thank you Bill Stevens for 21 years of dedication to Washington State Athletics and the Cougar family. The impact you’ve made will always be part of Cougar Athletics. Wishing you and your family all the best in retirement and we’ll see you around cheering on the Cougs!

Unfortunately, that’s lost on a lot of media relations folks. That’s not to say they need to cater to the media’s every whim, but Bill made every reasonable effort to help the media in our jobs, not stifle us. And if he couldn’t do something for you, he’d have a clear reason why.
What I also cherish is how he treated me with respect and kindness at every level I’ve interacted with him all the way back to my days in student radio to now being a Sports Director. Bill’s a true legend, one-of-one, and I hope he enjoys a very well-earned retirement!!
