Setting up speech-to-text in an @expo@reactnative project is tricky. The react-native-voice/voice module uses native modules that don’t work on Expo Go. That’s where the @googlecloud Speech-to-Text API comes in to save the day in this tutorial I made: youtu.be/gcZSlMU-n48
I didn't know I needed this in my life.
This new JSON API will retrieve a "Whoa" from Keanu Reeves from throughout his filmography.
You can retrieve by year, movie, specific director, or at random. Both audio and video. Built by @AviMamenko.

I recently launched a daily fashion price guessing game called Apparle. The goal is to guess the price (USD) of the product in 6 guesses or less. There’s even an archived games mode and a Weekly 50 if you want to keep guessing! You can check out Apparle at apparle.com
If you’re looking for a solid free Heroku alternative, I recommend Render.com. Deploying a Node.js Puppeteer app on @render can be a little tricky though compared to using @heroku’s buildpacks - luckily I’ve created a tutorial for it!

Did you check out the Owen Wilson API created by @AviMamenko? It's a free JSON API for all of Owen Wilson’s wows in movies.
It uses Contentful to store the assets. Check it out: ctfl.io/3h2pjm5
Today, we’re announcing important Heroku updates. These include an interactive product roadmap on #GitHub, support programs for students and nonprofits, as well as phasing out free product plans. See what the future of building on #Heroku looks like: blog.heroku.com/next-chapter
@AviMamenko Your YouTube tutorials are some of the best I've seen. I appreciate your what-I-am-doing and this-was-a-challenge commentary as you are writing code. Also perfect amount of wit and humor. Keep it up!
Props to @AviMamenko for creating this API of all the times Owen Wilson says "wow" in movies. Super creative and shows why the Internet is awesome. 🧵 owen-wilson-wow-api.herokuap…
