Fly 91 airlines recently advertised for a Vacancy for CPL holders on ATR-72 aircraft. Many young aspirants applied. Few have been short listed and given an offer email.
And they are asking for 60 Lakhs(yes you heard it right) as training cost for a non type rated CPL holder for P2 on ATR-72-600

I have operated Russian planes for many years and can safely say that they are built like a tank but lack sophistication.
I have my huge doubts if any Indian airline will ever order a Russian Passenger planes

Yesterday Indigo ATR and Star Air Emb 175 were parked next to each other at KQH.
A female pax with indigo ticket refused to board the ATR and insisted on boarding Star Air Emb as she felt its a better looking aircraft and that aircraft should be sent to her destination.
Took some convincing from ground staff to get her board the ATR although she was thoroughly disappointed with the ATR thorough out the journey 😂

Just heard that a Boeing 737 of Air India Express lined up on the runway edge lights at Muscat.
It started take off roll and then broke many runway edge lights and damaged its nose gear.
After a very loud noise in cockpit they aborted take off but it was too late.
Aircraft damaged . Runway light damaged. Passengers offload on runway.
How is that news not in the mainstream media?

Two USA fighters have collided mid air during a display and crashed. All 4 pilots ejected.
I am not sure if the F-18 will get same kind of hate and scrutiny which was unleashed on Indigenous fighter Tejas crash in Dubai Airshow

Crashes do happen in airshows as you are operating close to ground and performing manoeuvres which you would not do in day today flying even in a high performance fighter aircraft.
I have done plenty of aerobatic display flying in past and the only advice i remember is “ don’t get carried away by the crowds and the thrill and never over do it come back safely for another display “
