NM Highlands Media Days 2025 - My Takeaways 1) Expecting a bigger, faster, more athletic, and more disciplined Cowboys’ team this season. 2) It’s telling that Coach Taufa’asau praises his assistant coaches, calling them the best coaching staff in the country, and then RB Cayden Walton later describes OC Drew Thatcher as “amazing” and “the best coach [he] has ever played for.” 3) Have to love the hard nose, gritty attitude of OC Thatcher of grinding out 3.3 yards a carry to keep the chains moving and put up points. 4) FS Austin Turnbow is an amazing human being having completed a 2 year mission in Guatemala. He has me, and I’m sure everyone else, excited about this year’s defense, who he describes as a Brotherhood of Dawgs with the sole goal of not letting offenses score. 5) Great team wide goal of improving every day, getting at least 1% better every day, winning the day every day! #RMAC #RMACfb #CowboyTough #TheNEWHighlands
