1) You will most likely work on more (commercial or critical) failures than you will successes. This will probably break your heart at least once. Learn to love the act of making and creation over the validation of success.

I'll never forget my time at Volition. I met a mega cutie there in QA who'd become the love of my life. I got to work with some of my best friends daily. We worked hard as hell to deliver Agents of Mayhem and I'll always be proud of what we shipped.
