I think this is accurate so long as you understand that “normies” means status quo and that “performative indecency” is exactly right: it’s essentially decent people putting on a little show. Because they find the norms to be evil. Because you two were always on the same side. 🙂

Twenty years ago, when Jill and I started writing, the main divide was left and right, and we were pretty far apart. I am somewhat surprised to find that the main divide is now normies vs. performative indecency, and we're on the same side.

I’m happy to announce my new album, “Lake Mary not mysterious” will officially be out on May 8th. The first single is called “Sacred Life.” It’s about an eternally reincarnated man who accelerates the stakes in each successive POV.
“Lake Mary not mysterious” is what I’d call my Florida album, if only it had followed in a tradition of other Florida albums. Inspired by some personal impressions, the movie Palmetto, a Charles Willeford book.
