Borderline nazism covered under moral false pretense. You're the one that avoids them so you have no idea how many of them live a happy life. And when your parents are millionaires, that's eugenics and it's disgusting. Life is worth living, even with a disability, that's all.
Forcing Down Syndrome children to be born to satisfy your weird religious beliefs is fucked up.

1/ It's because if you look at it from the original greek these are two different words. In Matthew it's "moros" which is an insult to someone's intelligence, usually pronounced with anger. While in Luke it's "aphrōnes" which means a lack of wisdom or being spiritually blinded.
Wow, total contradiction here

2/ Even though it may sound like a contradiction from the english translation, whenever there is contradiction you should look at the original words used for it and their meaning. And as well the context, not cherry pick either.

Ok try this: If a stranger would sacrifice his life for you, wouldn't you want to: - Know him - Honor him and his life - Live right by him ???
A Christian is one who hides behind the completely immoral sacrifice of Jesus for his sins ?

1/ "Love the foreigner who resides among you" (Lev 19:33-34) is biblical. But you have to take it in context. Ger = legal resident/sojourner under Israel's laws, not illegal entry or unvetted masses. One law for all (Ex 12:49).
Funny how these ‘patriotic Christians’ never seem to follow this part of the Bible. Leviticus 19:33–34.

5/ Bible holds compassion justice in tension. Personal charity yes. But reckless policy harming your own vulnerable? Not biblical love. Read the whole Scripture, please.

Patriotic Christians take Lev 19 seriously in context. True charity protects the innocent while helping the needy who don't threaten the faith.

In part yes, the Catholic church teaches about forgiveness and praying for the soul of the ones who do us harm. It also teaches us about Justice. It's about offering redemption while ensuring accountability.
This is what Christianity teaches

Forgiveness is not being naive and trusting the person again or even reconciling. It's about getting rid of the bitterness that tragedy left on you, so you can move on in peace. Because how can we ask for forgiveness if we aren't capable of doing the same for others.

We are taught to love our enemies, meaning praying for them and hoping for reconciliation while not being naive either. If they attack you, you have to defend yourself. We are taught to seek justice, not just let the criminals go free w/o being accountable for their actions.
