JCS 2026 is being held this weekend, here are somethings you need to know as a spectator.
- 2,700 players who almost all qualified through placing well (12 wins at a CL or winning a City league)
- Day 1 will be 10 rounds of Bo1 Swiss with a record of 8-2 advancing to Day 2
- Day 2 will be 4 Bo3 rounds with some slightly different rules from ours, if time is called in Game 1 then whoever has less prizes wins, if time is called in Game 2 then the game will conclude unless either player has 2 or less prizes remaining. If one player has 2 or less prizes they are the winner, if both players have 2 or less they play overtime turns and then if the players are tied a tiebreaker (with 6 cards on each side) will be played, and the winner of that tiebreaker will be declared the winner of the game.
-If the winner of the second game is different from the winner of the first game, a tiebreak will be played, and the winner of that tiebreak will be declared the winner of the match
- Game 3 is whoever is winning on prizes wins unless they are tied at the end of overtime in which a tiebreaker game will begin
- If the game score is 2-0: The winning player receives 5 points, and the losing player receives 0 points.
- If the game score is 2-1: The winning player receives 4 points, and the losing player receives 1 point.
- If the game score is 1-0: The winning player receives 3 points, and the losing player receives 0 points.
- Top 64 players will qualify for this years World Championships in San Francisco
