Here’s a cute tune! Frolic at the Husking by Winslow L. Hayden 💃🏻 Hayden was an American composer and arranger working in the 19th century. He had a huge catalogue that included this one piece for guitar and flute!

Some of the composers you’ll hear on our September 16th program at the Old Town Hall in Ancaster. Loïsa Puget and Pauline Duchambge composed many tremendously popular songs in the 1800s and Catharina Pratten was the most important figure in England’s guitar scene at that time.

Andante and Allegretto by Angiolina Panormo Huerta (1811-1900) Huerta was a pianist with connections to the guitar world. She was the daughter of the luthier Louis Panormo and wife of narcissist guitarist-composer A. T. Huerta. This is her only known published solo guitar work.
