I'm so "untalented" (not really) that I combined two different pre-existing (and previously published) artworks of mine ("Book of Dimensions" and "The Devourer Cometh") to create a new image for a recently penned dark speculative poem of mine. #poem #poetry #speculativepoem

If you're looking for a large number of accounts to give a shit about human-made art, you may be on the wrong platform.

I'm a self-taught artist. I ended up a published illustrator and cover artist (although I'm no longer doing art for publications) and accomplished seller of print-on-demand merchandise featuring art. When I was doing art for publications, I did some on-assignment/commission.

Days after having the run-in with the AI cultist who "called bullshit" on my "self-professed talent" (remark made on June 10th), I'm still laughing over the absurdity of it all. Since that cultist made that remark, I've written three new poems and took a photo for use with one.

I hate to tell anyone to quit art school, but I also find myself questioning the need for an art school education. I never went to art school, and yet I'm an accomplished artist. Plus, I've heard horror stories of art schools DISCOURAGING creatives to continue their education.

It's one of the many reasons why I prefer reading classic literature over contemporary literature.
It's already industry standard—and literature has already been destroyed.

Somebody (or more likely some bot) replying to a poem I posted asked "do you paint or draw?" Yes, I do draw. Not only do I draw, I've been known to combine my drawings with my poems. On occasion, I'll actually create drawings inspired by my poems. Two recent examples:

"Do you paint or draw?" You tell me. Do I? (The paintings are old — I haven't actually painted in decades, but I have done so.)

I assume any account that exhibits so little understanding of what folks actually call themselves in their Twitter/X names, headers, AND bios (I also mention the fact that I'm an illustrator and artist in my Twitter/X bio), is, in fact, a bot, since bots truly understand nothing.
"Do you paint or draw?" Considering that I call myself an "Artist/Illustrator/Poet/Polymath" right in my Twitter/X name and that I have "Artist/Illustrator" right in my Twitter/X header, I find this to be an odd question to ask me. Nowadays, this is the sort of account I block.

Made a minor change to the poem I penned earlier today, "Early Summer Morn", and added it to a digitally modified version of my own photo of my pink rose bush and daisies. #poem #poetry #flowers #rose #daisies #summer @ProfeSteve1701 @EveLovestar

Containing three previously published horror stories penned by visual artist, dark poet, and writer Richard H. Fay, TRIO OF TERROR features sharply written prose with a poetic mystique and a classic feel. Each tale elicits a true sense of dread. a.co/d/0iRW23Xz #horror
