Love this photo, as it shows No. 46 Witton Lane, my Grandad’s house since the 1920’s (Pink Arrow) and four doors from Villa Park my birth place on Trinity Road (Green Arrow). I’ll always be proud of my club, my heritage and the positive part they’ve played in my life #AVFC #VTID

Warwickshire County Cricket Club is saddened to learn of the passing of Bears wicketkeeper-batter Keith Piper at the age of 56. Piper was part of the playing staff at Warwickshire for 16 years before taking up a role as Second XI coach, and was a key member of the treble-winning team of 1994. Read more 🔗 bit.ly/4unqH2L

Arthur "Titch" Vickers VC (1882–1944) was born in Woodcock Street, Aston. He earned a VC during the Battle of Loos, near Hulluch inFrance on 25th Sept 1915, while serving in the Royal Warwickshire Regiment in WW1, His memorial plaque still sits on Electric Avenue. RIP🫡😔🇬🇧
