Off to Carlisle today on @LocoServicesGrp ‘The Royal Scot’ (yes I know we have an Irish Mail headboard!). Something very exciting taking over the train at Crewe…
A few shots from yesterday’s @svrofficialsite ‘TractorFest’ celebrating 65 years of the Class 37. It was rather damp but a great day and managed to bash all 8 locos which were operating.
Great to see shunting taking place during the @svrofficialsite Gala. Made me think of @RWLDproject and all the accidents that happened as a result of this activity. And imagine this in the dark…
Brilliant few days at @svrofficialsite Autumn Steam Gala - only the SVR could put on something of this scale. Hard to beat getting off the overnight train at Bridgnorth early Saturday and see locos being prepared for the day.
Classic locos and classic location. Clun Castle and Bahamas came off @Vintage_Trains ‘The Mayflower’ at Bristol Temple Meads earlier. We’ve since been treated to some great thrash from the 37s. Nearly back at New Street after an excellent day.
A great day for a trip to @gwsr for the Diesel Gala. Here are a few shots from a stopover at Gotherington. The privately-owned station was open with excellent refreshments available.
We are delighted to announce that BAC trustee @Ricshire has been awarded the MBE in the King’s 2025 Birthday Honours for services to heritage, recognising his work with the BAC, as a member of the Crisis Management Team and as Archivist for the London Gay Symphony Orchestra.
