BAGP Case of the Month 🔬 A tumour outside its natural habitat 👾 48-year-old woman with abdominal bloating, distension and generalised tenderness. Found to have ascites and elevated CA125 levels (148). Laparoscopy: Acute inflammation, small white nodule on left round ligament. Uterus, tubes and ovaries appeared normal. Biopsies taken from left round ligament, omentum and peritoneum. Omental biopsy histology below. Our post-lunch session opened with a keynote lecture from Prof Glenn McCluggage exploring the influence of FIGO, ESGO, WHO and ICCR on pathology reporting and their impact on modern gynaecological pathology practice. We then moved into the first half of the mesenchymal session, where Dr Sabrina Croce delivered an excellent update on mesenchymal gynaecological tumours, followed by an engaging case-based discussion led by Dr Victoria Barker. #22ndAnnualMeeting #BAGP2026
