Love seeing former undergrads in SDM class ⁦@CornellCALS⁩ presenting their grad work! ⁦@astanley365⁩ gave 💯 talk #TWS2023. A model-based search algorithm outperformed random and ranking methods at selection of parcels in landowner incentive program for bobwhite.

Request to those who have hosted or attended a retreat for a research lab group - what suggestions do you have? What worked and what didn't? Hoping to get our crew together this summer for some team building and goal-setting but want to make sure we do it right!

We didn't find #SARSCoV2 in #Vermont wildlife, but the story is more complicated than that. See @poisondartfrog7's thread & the preprint for more. A great collab btwn @UVM_RSENR, @UVMLarnerMed, @VTFishWildlife and others, w/@UVM_RSENR students collecting most of the samples!
1/n Very excited to share the latest manuscript from my lab, in collaboration with @BAMdoesscience. This project was led by @HannahDespres, who looked very hard for SARS-CoV-2 viral RNA in Vermont wildlife. Surprisingly, we didn’t find any! biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/…

AMAZING poster session in NR 103 - Ecology, Ecosyst. & Envir. at @UVM_RSENR. 254 students - a small conference - sharing the results of their Rapid Ecological Studies. There's not a better way to close the semester in NR 103 than actually doing ecology! Thanks for your hard work!
