This is the part they don't get and can't seem to understand. It really is this simple.
Black people calling out racism does NOT make us racist. We can’t be racist! Talking about discrimination, prejudice, and unequal treatment isn’t hate…it’s telling the truth about what we experience.
Racist white people want us to stay quiet because it’s easier to deny racism than to confront it. But identifying racism isn’t racism. Exposing racism isn’t racism. Refusing to accept racism isn’t racism.
If talking about racism makes people uncomfortable, maybe they should focus on why racism exists…not on the people speaking out against it.
