UPDATE: As of Saturday, March 21, BBPD is still looking for missing 17-year-old Adyan Ireland who was last seen around 10 p.m., Wednesday, March 18 near the 2000 block of South Seacrest Boulevard. Adyan Ireland is 5-foot-7 and approximately 140 lbs with brown hair and brown eyes.

Boynton Beach Police and Boynton Beach Fire Rescue responded to a report of a jet ski accident around 5:45 p.m. Sunday, August 17, near the West Gateway Boulevard Bridge in the E-4 Canal, that resulted in the death of 49-year-old Jeffrey Civitano from Sunrise.

The preliminary investigation reveals that the jet ski, operated by Civitano, was traveling northbound in the canal when it crashed. Civitano was found lying in the water while his jet ski was observed traveling northbound by itself.

A witness attempted to pull Civitano out of the water until first responders arrived.   Boynton Beach Fire Rescue arrived on scene and pronounced Civitano dead. FWC responded to assist with the incident. The investigation is ongoing.

Walter George Denahan is 67-years-old, 5-foot-10 and approximately 145 to 160 lbs. Walter is bald with blue eyes and a gray beard. He was last seen riding a yellow and orange Trek off-road bike wearing biking attire with black shoes and a blue hat with “Sugga” written on it.

#UPDATE: July 5 Traffic Crash - BBPD responded to a vehicle versus bicycle traffic crash around 4 p.m. Saturday, July 5, at the intersection of North Congress Avenue and Old Boynton Road, that resulted in the death of 61-year-old Dale Whisman.

The preliminary investigation reveals that the bicycle was an e-bike, driven by Whisman, and was traveling eastbound across Congress Avenue on the south side of the intersection while a vehicle was traveling northbound on Congress Avenue with a green traffic light.

Whisman failed to yield to traffic, ultimately causing the vehicle to strike Whisman and his e-bike. Whisman was transported to Delray Medical Center; he was pronounced dead on July 6. The investigation is ongoing.
