BSLMC recently performed their first heart transplantation from a donation after cardiac death donor (DCD). We are very pleased that the recipient is doing extremely well. Congratulations to the entire team including Drs. Liao, Shafii, Mattar, Senussi, Nair, Simpson & Civitello.
ALT We are optimistic that this groundbreaking procedure will increase the heart transplant donor pool and allow more lifesaving heart transplants each year.
