Volunteering is so important to our communities! @BFPUpdates takes our volunteering into consideration with our applications. My favorite volunteer opportunity has been with a local food pantry called Fish and Loaves.

When you decide to compete in @BFPUpdates you are first tasked with filling out the application. A lot of the questions are great for updating or setting up your resume for colleges and jobs. I’ve used some of the answers from my BFP application in job interviews.

As I mentioned earlier, @BFPUpdates is judged based off essay and presentation. They encourage the essay to be something you would turn in at school. Keeping those skills in use helped me go back to college and finish my degree at Wayne State University!
