Here is the biggest from Lake Woodlands yesterday. It was slow at times but there were a lot of 2 pounders. Our best 5 went 18.5 pounds. Most of them were caught on a Creme Lure Co. Scoundrel fished wacky.

With the boat all back together my teammate and I made a trip to the Sabine River yesterday to practice for our next tournament. Water was really muddy but we were able to locate some bass and have a good game plan in the works for the tournament.

Had to cancel my guided trips for the next 2 weeks. Trolling motor died and is in the shop. So I also put my boat in the shop for it's annual service and minor maintenance. Hot fishing time of the year to be down so I hope it isn't too long.

The plastic bait craze started back in 1949 with the Creme Lure Co. Scoundrel. It caught some good fish yesterday too. It has been catch good bass for over 75 years and I am proud to be on their Pro Staff. Wacky Rigging came about in 1972 and it was the Scoundrel that was used.

That Woodlands Magic Turbo Bug worked it's magic this morning on Lake Woodlands. This is the biggest coming in at 6lbs 9ozs and my best 5 was just under 20lbs. Had to stop early as my Trolling Motor died on me.....😪

Dickinson Bayou is full of bass again, but most are in the 10-13 inch range. The boat ramp being closed for a year may have helped them come back. Biggest ones yesterday came on a Creme Lure Company Scoundrel Worm Wacky Rigged.

With the new boat ramp finished on Dickinson Bayou I headed down to try my luck. Fishing was tough but I was able to catch this nice Redfish and a few small bass.

Speaking of my granddaughter fishing, here she is catching her first unassisted bass. You will want to turn on the audio as it is classic and I'm so glad I got it all on video.

My granddaughter's huge Dinosaur Fish (Long Nose Gar). I didn't realize at the time it was possibly a World Record and helped her which invalidated it for World Record consideration. She caught it on 8lb Line so it could have been multiple World Records.
