The Manama 2025 World Boccia Challenger tournament in Bahrain was a huge success. Staged from 19–23 April at the Isa bin Rashid Sports Hall in Manama, the tournament featured 14 nations, more than 70 athletes and 97 officials from around the world . . .

. . . They roared back in the fifth end with some brilliant play from Zayana, to make it 7-3. In the final end, Syafa managed to deliver three points for Indonesia but China just about hung on to claim a 7-6 victory and their first team gold medal.

. . . Both Edilson and Leidy landed some deadly heavy blows in the early stages to go into a 6-0 lead and although Hong Kong got on the scoreboard, they eventually went down, 6-1. It was a second medal for Edilson Chica, who had won silver in the men’s BC4 competition.

Day 9 . . . Ho Yuen Kei had already claimed one solo triumph - winning the women’s BC3 individuals and now the Hong Kong China athlete struck gold again. This time, Ho came out on top with teammate Tse Tak-wah as Hong Kong China won a third gold medal in the BC3 mixed pairs.

. . . They beat South Korea's Jeong Ho-won and Kang Sun-hee 5-3 in an absorbing final. The Hong Kong China pair raced into a 3-0 lead - were pegged back at 3-3 by Jeong and Kang - but then rallied again with some deadly accurate shot-making to take the title.
