In RE, children recapped the Five Pillars of Islam to help them connect to their learning on Islam this half term. They created spinners which went through each pillar and thought about how they impact a Muslimโ€™s life. @BrackensdaleS #bekind

For National Poetry Day, Y5 explored the poem, Everyone Comes from Somewhere. They applied their learning about refugees to explain how the poem shows we should treat refugees with kindness. Their answers were absolutely beautiful! #bekind @MichaelRosenYes @BrackensdaleS

As part of Roald Dahl Day, the children have been reading poems from Revolting Rhymes. They also explored how to draw in the style of Quentin Blake. They looked at his murals for the public and then created some of their own murals in his style! @BrackensdaleS
