The newest issue of the Baltic Screen Media Review was published in December! The issue focuses on the contested histories and repeated emergences of the #metaverse concept. As well as on its current forms. It was edited by @IndrekIbrus, @shenjavdgraaf and @gamespacenl
Twitter thinks we should celebrate our account here being 2 years old. Ok, what this 2 really means for us is that we'll have issues this year - in Spring we had the participatory culture issue and in December we'll have the metaverse issue. Stay tuned!
#MyTwitterAnniversary
Whoo-hoo! Our newest issue on participatory culture is out-out-out! Read first this thread from our special issue editor Katrin Tiidenberg and then check out the issue itself! Thanks @kkatot and @AlessandroNani for editing it!
Ten years ago when we were naming our journal our estimate was that 'Baltic' will gradually start to refer to the broader region consisting of all countries around the Baltic Sea. It's happening... :)
Ok #metaverse people, there is a CFP for the Baltic Screen Media Review titled "Welcome to the Metaverse! (again?)”. You all dropped your 'white papers', it would now be great to see your visions subject to accountable academic peer review.

Came back to the office after a week of home with the kids (covid closures) to find the physical copy of @BSMRjournal Disco Elysium special issues where @DanjoKaz00ie & I published our contribution. It's a neat format and I'm enjoying reading the other pieces on paper!
Indeed, the new issue is out! On everything you've ever wanted to understand about Disco Elysium. Furthermore, also physical copies have dropped. They look nice!
Beyond excited that @alexgekker & I have a new open access co-authored piece out in the @BSMRjournal special issue on Disco Elysium: “Selling Elysium: The Political Economy of Radical Game Distribution” sciendo.com/article/10.2478/…
