Very special for Kai and Jack to find names of their relatives on the Menin Gate. Along with Alana, who also has a known relative buried at Arras, they laid a wreath during the very moving Last Post Ceremony which takes place every evening - an incredible act of devotion β™₯️

Two moving moments: Poperinge Death Cells - where British soldiers were executed for cowardice - and Lijssenthoek Military Cemetery, final resting place of nearly 10,000 soldiers and Nurse Nellie Spindler. We will remember them β™₯️

Ypres Cloth Hall - now and then. Now In Flanders Fields Museum, this iconic building in Ypres was reduced to rubble during heavy fighting around the Ypres Salient in WW1. It was beautifully rebuilt after the war: a testament to defiant resistance for freedom πŸ‡§πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡«πŸ‡·πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§
