Born OTD - two of Bedfordshire's finest who also represented @NorthantsCCC at first-class level. Ray Bailey - 82 today - claimed 144 wickets for the County and was later head groundsman at Wantage Road. And the much-missed Neil Stanley played from 1988 to 1993. @BedfordshireCCC

Peter Oakleyβs funeral will take place at Bedford Crematorium at 3.45pm on Friday 23rd January.
Sure it will be very well attended by people wanting to pay their respects to a Beds Cricket Legend

At the time of his passing Pete was believed to be the oldest living @BedfordshireCCC player.
Joined the MCC Ground Boys staff with later Beds players Trevor Morley & Gerry Sly and after with John Murray, Eric Russell, Don Bennett and Jim Standen. #RIPPJO

Wishing Ian Peck #329 a very happy 68th birthday - cricket for @NorthantsCCC and @BedfordshireCCC, rugby union for Bedford, Barbarians and a member of the England squad in 1980. Off the field, a hugely effective vice-chairman of the County Club and still a regular at Wantage Rd.

As announced by @AllanLamb294 at last night's @NorthantsCCC awards evening - the next two inductees into the Hall of Fame will be Rob Bailey and Wayne Larkins. Over 1,400 games and 60,000 NCCC runs between them - numbers one and three in our all-time, all-format run-scorers list.

Today @lewis_mcmanus becomes the first man for four years - and the first wicketkeeper since 2002 - to play every competitive match for @NorthantsCCC in a season. @Ricardo27Vasco and @RobKeogh91 both did it in 2001, and @Tobybailey76 the 'keeper who was ever-present 23 years ago
