Congrats to assistant coach Caleb Socha who was just named the head coach at Warrensburg High School. Coach Socha did a great job in his first year with us and very instrumental in the successful season we had. Wish we could keep him longer but he’s ready! Good luck Caleb!

Raymore-Peculiar (@raypecAD) announces Brandon Clifford as new head boys basketball coach. Clifford served as Blue Valley North assistant last season, as well as playing collegiately at Pitt State and Baker.

2026 Sports in Kansas Large Classes Non-Senior 🏀Player of the Year: Will Davis, Blue Valley North
Will Davis emerged as one of the top young players in Kansas, earning Large Classes Non-Senior Player of the Year honors after leading Blue Valley North through a challenging season to a strong finish.
The 6’8 junior averaged 18.4 points and 8.9 rebounds per game, anchoring the Mustangs on both ends of the floor while leading the team in scoring, rebounding and blocks for the second straight season.
“Our team faced a lot of adversity early,” Davis said. “We started 2-4 and dealt with injuries, sickness and chemistry issues, but it made us better. We came together, put the team first and figured it out before March.”
Blue Valley North responded with a strong second half of the season, winning the EKL, finishing 19-7 and returning to the state tournament for the first time since 2023.
Davis, a two-time first team all-conference selection and EKL MVP, has continued to elevate his game each season and is already drawing Division I interest with offers from Tulsa, UMKC, Tennessee State and Oral Roberts.
A team captain and consistent leader, Davis has established himself as one of the top rising players in the state heading into his senior year.
With his size, production and continued development, Davis will be one of the most watched players in Kansas next season.

Congrats to all the Mustangs that were selected for All EKL honors. A lot of talent in the league and proud of the season that our guys had. We will miss our seniors and their commitment over the years. Excited to see how our team develops in the off season.

Congrats to junior Will Davis. He wasn’t alone in helping us win the league title but he impacted the game on both ends with his versatility. Looking forward to one more season for Will as he can put his name towards the top of several all time records at BVN.

Congrats to junior Colton Nichols. In his first year with the Mustangs he showed tremendous growth in his game and kept getting better throughout the season as he became more comfortable with our season. Looking forward to seeing how much better he will be next year too!
