South Africa is making real progress through #CloseTheGap. 🇿🇦 Today, 79% of people living with HIV are on treatment, with over 520 000 newly initiated or re-started on ART this year alone — a major step towards reaching those still left behind. Government has also introduced 6-month medication supply to reduce clinic visits and speed up access, along with new tools like Lenacapavir, helping patients stay in care more easily. Every step counts as we move closer to ending AIDS as a public-health threat. ❤️ #loveLifeZA #CloseTheGap

Long-acting injectables?” “Your voices are exactly what the Department listens to when planning youth-friendly programmes. “Let’s do a quick poll in the chat: How many of you think getting HIV prevention tools at your local clinic is easy?” (Pause, react) “The National Department of Health is working hard to make clinics youth-friendly, offering long-acting prevention, condoms, and testing services that fit your lifestyle. Who here has been to a youth-friendly clinic before?” #CloseTheGap @BWiseHealth @HealthZA

“Quick show of thumbs! 👍 Do you know that there’s a pill called PEP you can take after possible exposure to HIV?” “PEP is another intervention supported by the Department — it must be taken within 72 hours, and it can literally stop HIV before it starts. Tag a friend who should know about this!” #CloseTheGap @HealthZA @BWiseHealth
