Thanks to everyone involved in the Christmas Concert last night and for all your support. It was great to finally have our fantastic young musicians performing again. For many of our students - their first Backwell concert. Hopefully the first of many!

Today our the Music Department was alive with the sounds of live music making! Year 12 choir, year 13 last lesson performance, year 9 band, a recording session on the grand piano and a brand new, talented Year 7 trio. Brilliant!

The newest member of our department - A vintage Yamaha BK-5 - finally got a proper outing with our year 13 Music Tech students today. Green Onions by Booker T & the M.G.’s was the only choice to be the first song played...

It was really wonderful hearing @Backwell_School AS and A level musicians perform today. Such variety and talent - feeling very privileged!

Our Year 12 Music Tech students have been hard at work in our lovely recording studio! We're proud of what they're accomplishing, and can't wait to hear their finished recording projects.

A snippet of the yr 9 band rehearsing today. After 3 weeks back they've put this together, experimented with solos& workshopped endings. It's starting to come together! Well done all. We're all looking forward to when we can hear these amazing young people live again in concert.
