One year ago today I got an email that said I was eligible to get my first Covid vaccine. Within two hours it was in… and it took me 1.5 hours to drive there. The relief and gratitude were overwhelming.
Thanks @UMichiganEM for indulging us today for senior talks. Thanks to everyone who has contributed along the way and to my phenomenal class. ❤️ special thanks to @RosieBDiaz
Thoroughly enjoying a @UMichiganEM Grand Rounds talk on fear today from @ArleneSujin. Thanks for normalizing and giving us some needed tips to overcome our own impostor syndrome.
Incredibly grateful to @HurleyMedical and to all who contributed to making this a reality. I got my second Covid vaccine 1/8. Thanks also to @UMichiganEM and in particular to chief resident @rtsuchida for ensuring our entire residency could get them in an expedited fashion! 1/
My joy and relief far outweighed the fatigue, body aches, and chills I felt from hours 6-36. Grateful for those, though; they mean my ribosomes did some work and my immune system followed suit. 2/2
Conference this morning is 6 minute soap boxes! thanks to guest judges
@doctoRoblivious, @beakerdan, and Dr Carrie Harvey. Graduating chief and soon-to-be Education Fellow @CVComm kicked us off with some data on guiding principles.
Let's hear it for the partners, parents, and support teams of each surgical trainee. You make it work.
I wouldn't be here without my family. So incredibly thankful.
Thanks to @UMichSurgery for giving me a pretty good outlet to say thanks.
