トヨタは、2016年のル・マン24時間耐久レースで残り3分の悲劇を味わった。それから、あの悔しさを乗り越えて2018年から2022年まで5連覇を成し遂げた。しかし、「ライバル不在だから」とか「トヨタが勝って当たり前」とか心無い言葉が飛び交った。あれだけ、勝って勝って勝ち続けても認められなかった。ル・マンで5連覇という偉業を成し遂げても認められない悔しさ。心の底からやるせなかった。そして、2023年から2025年までフェラーリにル・マンの王座を明け渡してしまった。もう二度と、トヨタはル・マンで勝てないのかもしれない。やはりライバル不在だから勝てていたのかと応援していた身にも関わらず、自信を失う時もあった。それでも、トヨタは諦めていなかった。2026年のル・マン24時間耐久レースで4年ぶり6度目の優勝を成し遂げた。10年前の悪夢から、ようやく解き放たれた気がする。

I've seen people discussed that Malaysia car scenes have devolved into just hype stuff and cosmetic car shows, instead of motorsports, street racing and drag I somewhat disagree because it really feels like even in cosmetics we were at our peak in the 2000s compared to nowdays
