This Wednesday, we had the coolest experience EVER 🤩 We visited @autovolinc in Nampa, where they make volumetric modular housing in factories, ✨with robots✨ This means that 80% of the construction of an apartment building happens in the factory to build housing super fast and super affordable!! It was amazing to talk to the geniuses that innovate so spectacularly. They were the first ever company to use robots to make housing, and the only ones that do so at this scale 🔥 Not only did we get to meet the fantastic people that are behind this, including the CEO and founder, Rick Murdock, we toured the factory floor and saw every step in the process to construct housing!! A huge shoutout to Merrick Macomber, the Chief Culture Officer at Autovol, who was incredibly gracious and cheerful while being our tour guide, as well as Chandra Pittu and his team of solutioneers for answering allllllll our questions 😆 Thank you so much to Rick Murdock and his whole company for hosting us and being so kind and generous! Fun fact, @autovolinc is the first and only factory of its kind in @america and even exports to @Australia. They produce 6 modular housing units a day which amounts to 4 average American apartments a day. Huge step towards solving the housing affordability crises in the country.
