Burnley. Friday afternoon. While every single one of those stories was breaking the Left were on television blaming Elon Musk. And then Monday night happened. Stephen Ogilvie has learning difficulties. He is a vulnerable man who gives everything he has to the people around him. In 2001 a gang exploited that. In 2026 someone he was helping exploited that. Same man. Same kindness. Same result. How many times does one man have to survive the unthinkable before this country decides he is worth protecting. Same man. Same vulnerability. Same result. Different decade. That is not bad luck. That is a society that has never once put its arms around Stephen Ogilvie and kept him safe.
