Makima would wait patiently. With how she sounded she knew she didn't feel well and would take longer to get to the door.
When it comes to health it doesn't matter if somebody is higher up the ladder or not, at least she sees it like this.

That's why she was already in front of her door, knocking on it as she waited for a response. She brought some medication and something to eat with her in case she needed something.
