Saw a great incidental pupil/staff conversation at @BarnardGrove yesterday. The child could articulate why he liked the fantasy genre & the member of staff made suggestions about which other genres he might like & shared her own preferences. #everychildareader 📕@AdAstraTrust 💫

Huge well done to the amazing Y5 pupils who represented Barnard Grove at High Tunstall’s Maths Competition, on Friday.
They competed against other teams from across Hartlepool, in a variety of activities including crosswords, problem solving, puzzles and brain teasers.

We are proud to announce that BGPS are now a NRICH Problem-Solving School. We continuously strive to provide better outcomes for our pupils.
This is a new initiative from NRICH to help schools raise the profile of mathematical problem-solving to nurture better problem-solvers.

Dave visited @BarnardGrove yesterday to deliver their competition prize! 🙌
It was a whopping £500 for them to add to their current fundraising pot.
They already do amazing things in the community with their funds and we're sure this will continue 😊
