Barstow Firefighters engaged a fully involved commercial fire on Tuesday evening. Crews were able to stop the fire from progressing to nearby occupied homes. No injuries were reported and it took approximately 20 minutes to contain.

We are saddened beyond words to report the death of Captain Brian Hughes of the Arrowhead Hotshots. Hughes' crew was on the #FergusonFire on @Sierra_NF when he was struck and killed by a tree. We grieve his loss.

@BarstowFire responded to Multiple Tractor Trailer’s on Fire in the Fuel Island at TA Travel Center. ME363 arrived to find 2 Tractor Trailers well involved. It took 2 Eng & 8 Firefighters 15 minutes to control the Fire. No injuries to Firefighters or civilians.
