Something I think about with Raditz,
People say some “Goku should’ve revived Raditz cause Vegeta changed”
But like, it never makes any logical sense with the actual narrative
Ignoring that he actually did give Raditz a chance to change, to which he proceeded to backstab him before continuing to try to kill his own brother and nephew
And the fact that in the actual narrative itself, there’s no actual opportunity for that to happen
Goku’s dead for 1 year after Raditz, and he views the Saiyans as enemies
And then for the next year he’s off Earth, until Mecha Freeza, but even then, Vegeta is still largely an asshole, he just isn’t actively causing any trouble and is a useful ally when needed
Not to mention as soon as he gets back, he then spends the next 3 years focused on the androids, and by that point the dragon balls only grant 1 wish, he’s got more important things to do than waste a wish on a useless asshole on some belief he MIGHT change
Then he’s dead again for 7 years
Which, isn’t even mentioning the fact he probably got reincarnated by that point, to which even if Goku wanted to, he couldn’t revive him
Really the only time he could even consider that was when he finds out about the Super Dragon Balls, but like that doesn’t at all feel like what Goku would do
If you look at Piccolo, Vegeta, Freeza, or Kid Boo,
3 out of 4 of those were (at least partly) cause he wanted to fight them again, and none of them were done out of the belief they could change
yeah he asked for Boo to be reborn but that’s cause Boo was both incredibly powerful with lots of potential, and ultimately knew Boo couldn’t change cause he’s literally a mindless animals
And sparing Freeza literally ended the same way Raditz did
There’s just no argument that makes sense or really fits within Goku’s character
