For many Nairobi commuters, the choice to take an electric bus is simple: a quieter ride and a more comfortable journey. On the Buruburuโ€“Civoโ€“Nairobi CBD route, OMA Sacco's all-electric fleet is demonstrating how electric buses can deliver more predictable operating costs and a better passenger experience. As fuel costs continue to fluctuate, electric buses are proving that public transport can be more affordable, reliable, and sustainable. We are proud to have participated in the 4th Annual E-Mobility Stakeholders Conference & Expo 2026, which brought together key industry players advancing electric mobility in Kenya. Over the two days, policymakers and innovators - including Kenyaโ€™s Cabinet Secretary for Energy and Petroleum, Opiyo Wandayi, and Kenya Power Chairperson Joy Brenda Masinde - visited our stand, where Kenyaโ€™s first electric school van and an electric van designed for public transport operations were showcased. Our Managing Director, Moses Nderitu, took the team through both vehicles, highlighting how one shared base model can be adapted to serve different mobility needs across school transport and public service operations. Across the two days, strong momentum around electric mobility in Kenya was evident, with the sector increasingly taking shape as a scalable, practical solution rather than a future concept. We are proud to be part of an ecosystem accelerating the transition to clean, efficient transport. #EMobility2026 #ElectricSchoolVan #CleanTransport

Today is World Environment Day, and this yearโ€™s theme, ย ๐˜๐˜ฏ๐˜ด๐˜ฑ๐˜ช๐˜ณ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฅ ๐˜ฃ๐˜บ ๐˜•๐˜ข๐˜ต๐˜ถ๐˜ณ๐˜ฆ. ๐˜๐˜ฐ๐˜ณ ๐˜Š๐˜ญ๐˜ช๐˜ฎ๐˜ข๐˜ต๐˜ฆ. ๐˜๐˜ฐ๐˜ณ ๐˜–๐˜ถ๐˜ณ ๐˜๐˜ถ๐˜ต๐˜ถ๐˜ณ๐˜ฆ resonates deeply with everyone working to build a cleaner transport future. At BasiGo, we believe one of the most effective ways to reduce emissions in Africa is through public transport, not because it is the easiest path, but because it moves entire communities and delivers significant impact at scale. Every electric bus operating across Kenya and Rwanda is proof that clean mobility is no longer a future ambition. It is already transforming how people move today. To date, our buses have driven over ๐Ÿญ๐Ÿฎ ๐—บ๐—ถ๐—น๐—น๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป ๐˜‡๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ผ- ๐—ฒ๐—บ๐—ถ๐˜€๐˜€๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป๐˜€ย kilometres across Kenya and Rwanda, connecting people and communities. Today, let us rethink how we move. From city streets to inter-county routes, zero-emission transport is not only better for the planet but also creates healthier, more sustainable communities for everyone. #WorldEnvironmentDay

When fuel prices rise, commuters often feel the impact first through higher fares and increased living costs. Electric buses offer an opportunity to build a transport system that is less vulnerable to global oil price fluctuations and more affordable in the long term. A new batch of electric coaches is making its way to the country, bringing clean, comfortable, and reliable travel even closer to passengers across the country. As Rwanda continues to embrace e-mobility, these coaches mark another step toward zero-emission transport and a modern travel experience for intercity commuters. And soon, theyโ€™ll be coming to a town near you! The future of intercity travel is electric. Stay tuned. More details coming soon. #SustainableTransport #BeyondKigali #Roadto1000

A proud moment for BasiGo! Yesterday, we joined Kenyaโ€™s fast-growing electric mobility community for a grand EV parade across Nairobi , moving alongside players advancing electric trucks, bikes, cars, and bicycles. Covering 43Kms the parade was a showcase of what clean transport already looks like in public transit, logistics, motorcycles, personal cars, and two-wheelers. We are proud to play our part in this shift with our electric buses and charging infrastructure deployment, and we firmly believe in Kenyaโ€™s unique opportunity to build transport systems powered by clean, locally generated energy. What stood out most was the collective momentum. Different players across the industry, moving together with one shared vision: cleaner cities, quieter roads, and a more sustainable future for transport in Africa. The shift is here. And Kenya is driving it forward. Thank you @EMobilityKenya and @KenyaPower for bringing together industry players and organising this important demonstration. #EVparade2026 #SustainableTransport #ElectricMobility
