Our governments have designed policy that social media companies CANNOT COMPLY WITH for the sole purpose of inflicting fines on them.
These governments are broke, and they think @elonmusk will be their cash cow.
They don't care about children. They don't care about political speech. They just want more money. And 'fining social media' lets them steal money from the private sector while pretending to make society safer.
Honestly - it's disgusting and conservative governments should not be encouraging this behaviour.

In Bibb County, Alabama, eight suspects ran a sex trafficking ring out of an underground bunker where children as young as 3 were drugged, bound, and raped with adults paying to abuse them.
Animals were also targeted.
Rebecca Brewer and mother of some of the victims, pleaded guilty to sexual torture and nine counts of first-degree kidnapping. As part of the deal she agreed to testify against the other seven defendants.
The trial for the remaining suspects has been delayed while the case expands, including a federal investigation into at least one of them.
These monsters turned their own kids and pets into victims for profit.
How long will it take for every last one of them to face real justice?

No matter how you view these budget changes, lying to the public and doing the exact opposite of your election promises is a disgrace.

Raising $3.7 million from 60,820 Australians is the polar opposite of being captured by a handful of wealthy donors. It works out to roughly $61 per donor. That’s a grassroots fundraising model if I’ve ever seen one!
Its worth considering that if tens of thousands of Australians are voluntarily donating their own money during a cost of living crisis, it provides very strong evidence that the frustration is extremely real and very widespread. One Nation are on the march across Australia.
