A love letter to everyone that was part of
@decentraland events in 2024. The reason? Yesterday, I joined the Decentraland Foundation as the full-time Head Producer of cultural events in 2025.
Love you all and cannot wait to work with you on your art, ideas and activations this year.
I started producing in 2006, as
@InformaPLC asked me to make the first conferences on open source software in mobiles. Anyone remember Symbian or Openmoko? I fell in love with decentralized development.
Had a career in both tech and art, including Marketing Director at mobile startups (remember Fixed-Mobile Convergence?), and gallery shows across Europe.
Then when web3 arrived, I led marketing and curation for an NFT platform on Binance Smart Chain. Remember NFTs on BSC?! They bought two parcels in Decentraland and asked me to open a gallery. I was immediately hooked.
Got involved with
@DecentralandDAO , fell in love with the people, ethos and ideals. Organized an art collective
@vueltta to create DCL installations, founded an art fair
@MESHfair to explore the potential of glb art in virtual worlds. Met people like
@NFTland @KJWalker3D @toxsam at the epic NFTxRoads by
@polygonalmind, worked with
@RtClick_Save on talking about this movement in immersive experience.
Throughout last year, I freelanced with the Decentraland Foundation while managing MESHfair, curating exhibitions for
@objktone and
@artcrush, and lecturing in Emerging Technologies at
@berkleevalencia
As of yesterday, I joined the Foundation staff full time as Head of Production and Curation. It's pretty much a dream come true. Thank you to everyone who has worked with me on the journey so far. Cannot wait to see what we build in 2025!
