Baylor senior golfer Jonas Appel closed out his collegiate career by carding four birdies in shooting 3-under 33 on the back nine in Tuesday's final round at Traditions Club.
Jonas, who graduated Saturday, will maintain his amateur status through the summer and then "reassess and see what Q School would look like in the fall."

After struggling on the backside and shooting 5-over-par 77 in Monday's openng round of the NCAA Bryan Regional at Traditions Club, the Bears' Jonas Appel will try to climb back up the standings today.
Sitting eight shots back of the golfer leading the hunt for the individual advancing spot, Jonas tees off at 9:42 a.m. from No. 1, with the potential of playing two rounds today because of "dicey weather" on Wednesday.

Senior Jonas Appel, selected as an individual for the NCAA Bryan Regional, has a path to make it back to his hometown course.
The top five teams and top two individuals from a non-advancing team will play in the NCAA Championship May 29-June 3 at Omni La Costa Spa and Restort in Carlsbad, Calif.

JONAS NOT DONE
Jonas Appel had his senior season extended, selected on Wednesday as one of the five individuals for the NCAA Bryan Regional that will be held May 18-20 at Traditions Club in Bryan, Texas.
Jonas had a 73.12-stroke average this season, 15 rounds of par or better and two top-10 finishes.
He joins a field that includes a Big 12 reunion with Texas and the host Texas A&M team, along with current Big 12 members TCU and Colorado.
