Removal of a laterally spreading rectal tumor via band EMR and hybrid APC by 3rd year fellow Dr. Groudan and associate program director Dr. Zakharia. Advanced fellows will receive ample training in removal of large polyps by endoscopic mucosal resection, endoscopic submucosal dissection, and endoscopic full thickness resection.

Announcement: Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship at UMass-Baystate
We are excited to announce the launch of a new Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship Program at UMass-Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA, starting in July 2026. This program, accredited through the ASGE, will provide specialized training in advanced endoscopic procedures (ERCP, Diagnostic and Therapeutic EUS, Barrett's endotherapy, Endoscopic resection, Third Space Endoscopy, Endoluminal stenting and Endobariatrics), preparing fellows for leadership roles in the field of gastroenterology.
