I don’t know what surprise me the most with the @Nigel_Farage#coutts fiasco - the fact he as a libertarian seems to want government intervention on his behalf or the fact that a member of the #brexitelite actually had any money in the UK
A very sad day and I couldn't put it better myself 👇 @NAdams is one of the good guys - and everything you would want in a great friend and colleague. A massive loss to our benches.
It’s good to see @CharlesWalkerMP talk about “talentless” people being in cabinet, but he’s been a member of a party who have consistently rewarded failure for most of his political career….
As proud British Patriots, I'm sure both @RishiSunak and @trussliz will both support a complete ban on anyone who has investments designed to avoid UK taxes from being a member of parliament. It is UNPATRIOTIC not to pay your way
It’s embarrassing to see a @trussliz supporting MP still insisting that free markets work in the face of massive evidence that they don’t (energy, transport, water, health). Tory’s really are proof that money can’t buy a real education or intelligence
This is what @Conservatives precious free market delivers - unacceptable profiteering at tax payers expense. While their leaders like @RishiSunak dodge so much of their taxes though, they will be happy with profligate spending. At OUR expense…
I wonder if @JamesCleverly thinks it is acceptable for
@DeltaTrust_Org to be spending money on a shiny new reception at its Garforth Academy while at the same increasing costs of school meals for hard-pressed parents? #ToryMaths or warped priorities?
Not only do we see blatant profiteering from online "services" that let down vulnerable people, if the license system didn't allow clusters of pharmacies around surgeries while leaving housing estates with none, my mum might have a chance to walk to one
Essentially, a £200k house normally would become £250k as the builders assume that the people who'd be able to get a mortgage on £200k will still need a £200k mortgage and get the balance from #HelpToBuy
Scaled back promotions (virtually nothing off fixture), bare looking aisles (despite good availability) and an eerie quietness in my local @Tesco this morning. The January recovery seems particularly dramatic this year after the bountiful displays before Christmas....
Walmart is ending its contract with a robotics company after seeing similar results from human workers grabbing online orders during the pandemic wsj.com/articles/walmart-she… via @WSJ
Really missed my @runforall events this year - so signed up for #JogOn2020 to try and incentivise myself to get out of my 5k-a-day rut and get back to at least 10k distances. Oh - we have to tag @arladairyUK as well (assume they're sponsors!)
