The Civil Rights Act was a well-intentioned covenant, agreeing to allow black people a chance to integrate into society and conduct themselves as productive and respectful members thereof.
It is abundantly clear that outcome did not occur.
It's not a good idea to permanently piss off people whose primary example of what needs to happen when covenants are broken is the Bible.
