A $91 million goodwill impairment charge was recorded in early 2025 by Sapporo. Basically, they overpaid relative to what the Stone business is now worth. Stone really didn't have a logical spot within Sapporo. It was an American production foothold.

Duvel is a much more logical place for @StoneBrewing. They already own @FirestoneWalker & @Boulevard_Beer. Both highly respected craft breweries with great beer and a loyal following. Stone has found a much better home.
