Ending the season with a mediocre 5-3 at Bologna Special Championship is such a disappointment, especially considering that I didn't face any bad matchup during the tournament. But at least I got this:

Top32 and apparently I am the Calyice player with the best performance at Bologna Special Event, which is so weird given how solid Calyice is supposed to be in the meta. I definitely could have had a better run in day2 but never mind, I'll retry next season

Useless fun fact given that nobody will use Weezing-Roaring Moon anymore: if both of them are on the field and Weezing gets knocked out during a turn, Roaring Moon's protosynthesis activates at the end of the turn. This is a very weird interaction because dynamic speed (1/2)

is ignored in this unique case. In fact, if Weezing and Roaring Moon are on the field and you switch out Weezing during a turn, the partner's ability activates immediately after, just as it should.

The part regarding Neutralising Gas is so unnecessary, no stupidly broken mechanic like a move that boosts stats even on protects was involved. It also sucks that they decided to make this change while the same regulation is still up. No sense

This marks twice that a major bug that wasn't communicated to be a bug resulted in VGC teams being stronger than they should've been.
-Order up boosting on protect
-Weezing/booster roaring moon

At least it's funny to have another confirmation about how bad Game Freak is at programming videogames. I guess next time they will apply the same "fix" to As One, Disguise and so on

I could say a lot of things about the Barcelona Special Championship, about the performance but also the journey. All you need to know is that this team was very cool and deserved more than a top64, but yesterday just wasn't my time to shine

Also, I want to encourage vgc judges to pay more attention during the hack checks. Yesterday I was about to receive a penalty because one of them checked a completely different team (from another format lol). That wasn't a good time at all and it's a sign of low professionalism
