I think one of the biggest issues we’re facing in blockchain right now, just like every major tech revolution before it, is the obsession with short-term thinking. Everyone’s chasing short-term gains, quick wins, short bursts of “progress.” People measure success in 3 or 6-month intervals. But look back at the internet boom. Even that wave, as fast as it was, took years before real utility emerged. Utility that was resilient enough to still matter 20 years later. And it took decades for companies to evolve into what they are now. Take Amazon. It started in the dot-com boom as a mail-order book company. Did they know they’d one day be doing everything from streaming to spaceships? Maybe. Maybe not. But one thing’s certain, they didn’t become THIS Amazon in six months or a year. It took them twenty years of evolving, staying resilient, & adapting. If we want the blockchain movement to survive, (& to make the difference many of us came here for) we need to develop discipline. We need to stop chasing charts and short-term numbers. Stop asking, “Why hasn’t this coin pumped in two months?” “Why don’t we have a gorillion transactions yet?” That’s not the point. What really matters is: - Has your solution stayed resilient over time? - Has your business evolved? - Has your team grown stronger? - Has your vision matured? That’s the mindset that keeps paradigm-shifting ideas alive. That’s how movements last decades.
