Part two of our PH retreat is in the books. The Visayas crew is made up of a lot of the original Keystone employees and while not as large as the first meetup, they more than made up for it with their energy. It was a whirlwind of a week that allowed me to meet ~70% of the team from the US, South Africa, and the Philippines. I'm very excited for us to build on this momentum and to see how the team interacts after the chance to meet in person.

T minus one week till our company retreat in the Philippines. This will be the first time I've met my team in person, some of whom have been with me for over three years. I'm incredibly excited to spend the week there as we continue building a different kind of company.

We filed 1,783 1099's this month, more than double what we did last year. And somehow, this was the least stressful 1099 season yet! Now bring on the amendment requests...

At Bookkeepers Without Borders, we helped place 10 offshore bookkeepers in 2024. 8 with CPA firms and 2 with clients of Keystone. We continue to have a great pipeline of candidates and would love to find them jobs with great firms in 2025!

Wrapping up 2024: - $1.1M revenue (84% increase) - 42 employees (147% increase) - 142 clients (63% increase) - 1,428 (!!) STR listings serviced at year-end (didn't track this last year) Despite all this - operating income dropped 9%. Take away - growth is expensive (and hard!). We could easily cut staff and service our existing clients with a much smaller team, but we're investing now to continue growing in 2025.

One of our recruiting advantages - knowing which offshore agencies to target. These BPO agencies have a ton of incredibly well trained talent who are very open to working directly for US companies. Better pay direct hire relationship is an easy pitch for us.
