Interested in cliff plants? We wanted to know how endangered they are, and used IUCN red list data to get a snapshot of their current conservation status. We found some interesting trends…. sciencedirect.com/science/ar… @walsh_seana

Endangerment varied greatly by taxonomic group and geographic region. Bottom line: we have a lot to learn about these plants and environments. If you want to explore the data, check out the dashboard we created as part of the study. public.tableau.com/app/profi…

All of these last years of work are bearing fruits! We are very proud to have achieved this world's first: A new species discovery and collection by drone using our Mamba robotic arm! 🌱
Big news 🤖🌿 Our aerial drone has uncovered a new plant species on Kauai's dry cliffs, marking a historic moment in botanical exploration. So cool to see how this tech is changing the way we explore and appreciate our world. Mahalo to our collaborators @OutreachRobotic

I don't like this trend where conservation is only valuable if it helps tackling climate change. I help protect wildlife because they deserve a place and a voice, just like any of us. Intrinsic value is not popular any more, but it's the hill I'm willing to die on.
