I spent the summer learning about the QB development industry: the private coaches and elite camps that produces many of the country's top prospects.
It's a complex, costly path to the NFL. But for the ones with the skills and drive to do it — like J.J. McCarthy — it can help fulfill a childhood dream.

Brian O’Neill said today that Christian Darrisaw “ looks unbelievable” in his first full offseason back from his torn ACL. “I'm so fired up to get him back to what we know he is, and what we know he can be,” O’Neill said. “I hope people didn't forget who he is, because that's one of the best tackles in the league.”

• Playing time (up to 80%)
• Receptions (up to 80)
• Receiving yards (up to 900)
• Touchdowns (up to 13)
He can make a max of $5M in incentives this year. He currently has $1.75M likely to be earned ($500K each for catches and yards, and $750K for TDs based on last year).

Nolan Teasley wrote letters to all 32 teams looking for a NFL job. He wound up in his home state, interning for the Seahawks and learning under John Schneider.
It turned out to be an apprenticeship that gave Teasley the skills the #Vikings sought in a new GM, as they hope to replicate the Seahawks’ success in Minnesota: app.startribune.com/story/60…
